The Nutrition Institute awarded the most innovative Slovenian food products.

Seven winners were selected out of 47 entries.

Third year in a row, the competition is aimed at stimulating innovation in development of food products among local producers in a bid to offer consumers a wider selection of quality foods.

The winning products were said to have good nutritional composition as well as being customer- and environment-friendly.

Among the winners were live lettuce, barley bread and yoghurt with hemp oil.
